Nurse clinics—Book a consultation with one of our nurses today to discuss how we can support you and your pet as they age.
The initial consultation is £50.00 and includes a nose-to-tail health check, body condition scoring, muscle definition scoring, pain assessment, quality of life assessment, supplementation recommendation, and environmental adjustment recommendation.
The follow-up consultation with the nurse is £35.00 and includes strength training to help build muscles, diet advice to help lose/gain weight, reassessment of pain and/or quality of life.
Nurses are unable to diagnose and may refer you to a vet consultation.
Vet consultations £73.00, would be required if the nurse felt it necessary to aid with a diagnosis and/or prescribe medication not available over the counter.
A vet would also need to be present for end-of-life care.
It may also be recommended that your pet have some diagnostic tests performed.
Geriatric blood profile from £150.00.
A blood sample is taken from your pet and sent to an external laboratory to test for diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, anaemia, infections, and inflammation, as well as thyroid hormone levels in cats.
Urine test from £30.00.
A urine sample pot (dogs) or special plastic litter (cats) is provided for you to collect a urine sample from your pet. These can be sent to you before the initial consultation or provided at the initial consultation, ready for the follow-up consultation. Testing urine allows detection of glucose, ketones, protein, and ph levels, among other things.
It may be indicated to send a urine sample to an external laboratory, which would incur an additional cost.
*£35.00 is for the follow-up clinics with a nurse
